Each file may be up to 50 MiB. Compression can alter detail or colours; conversion does not always reduce file size.
Questions about this tool
Why did the file size not decrease?
The source may already be well optimized, or the selected conversion may need more data. Original-format mode retains the source when the candidate is not smaller.
Will a transparent PNG remain transparent?
Transparency depends on the output format. JPEG has no alpha channel and receives a white background here; inspect PNG or WebP output when transparency matters.
Can I save a batch in one download?
Processed images can be downloaded together in a ZIP archive. The current input limit is 50 MiB for each image, rather than a promise about every batch's memory use.
