Find moments to review without replaying everything first
Long recordings may contain useful excerpts that are difficult to locate by scrubbing alone. The default analysis uses the audio track to suggest moments. Optional semantic analysis adds the transcript's meaning. Review the context around each suggestion so the exported clip remains understandable on its own.
How to use it
Open a video, choose clip settings and review the proposed segments before exporting.
Practical example
In an interview, a louder passage may be an interruption rather than the answer you need. Listen before and after the suggested boundary. Keep enough of the question or explanation to avoid exporting a statement that means something different outside its context.
What to know before you start
Audio-based analysis is local. Optional semantic analysis sends transcript text to an external AI service; suggested clips still need editorial review.
Questions about this tool
Does default analysis understand the video's story?
It detects audio-based signals rather than interpreting every scene. Strong sound can identify a moment to inspect, but it does not prove that the moment is useful.
What is sent when I enable AI content analysis?
The transcript and timestamps go through ClipGG to an external AI service. Default audio analysis and clip export stay on your device.
Are transcripts saved in the browser?
Up to 50 entries may be cached locally in IndexedDB. Use the clear-transcript-cache control when you want to remove that saved material from the device.
